I purchased a new two-way radio, how do I get it to pair with my other two-way radios?
At Klein Electronics, we are happy to program your new two-way radio free of charge. You can either send us one of your radios or provide us with the list of frequencies you are on and we will handle the rest. If you wish to complete this on your own, we will put you in contact with one of our Two-Way Radio Experts.
What’s the difference between UHF and VHF Two-Way Radios?
UHF stands for Ultra High Frequency whereas VHF stands for Very High Frequency. The difference between these two-way radio frequencies is the environment in which they perform the best. UHF radios are designed to work in urban environments and indoors such as schools, churches and small businesses. VHF radios are designed for outdoor, rural environments like hunting or camping.
What Two-Way Radio has the longest range?
The Blackbox Nationwide IoT Two-Way Radio has the longest range out of all the two-way radios sold here at Klein Electronics. These portable WiFi internet two-way radios have range as long as you are on WiFi. If you’re looking for a digital two-way radio, we would recommend the Blackbox GO! How do I know what connector I need for my CURL PTT Earpiece?

What is P.O.C.?
P.O.C. stands for Push-To-Talk Over Cellular. Using smart devices, you choose a push-to-talk, we call it PTT, application and that app turns your device into a two-way radio. Some PTT Apllications include Microsoft Teams, Zello, ESChat, and others. Now you can easily design as many groups or individuals as you need - scroll through them and press a push to talk button. Some device manufacturers are really on board with this concept and added a physical push to talk button on the side of the device, like a walkie-talkie has, so you press that button. Manufacturers like Sonim, Samsung, Kyocera, and CAT, as well as some others all make commercial grade devices with buttons on them for push to talk. When using these apps you may still have to grab the phone and talk into it each time. So to stay nimble, you can add a professional grade push to talk accessory that connects to the phone and remotely controls the PTT with a button.
